 Thinking about work

Reflecting on what my usual working day looks like, I realized that I spend most time on thinking. At times it is creative, at other times it is analytical or critical. During creative thinking we create ideas. On the course of analytical thinking we analyze a problem. If we take the role of a critical thinker, we analyze and evaluate information. Taken together, these are different aspects of a process that ends up with solving a problem. Problem-solving ability is needed in everyday life as well as in professional life. We give you a helping hand in this task by suggesting you a number of problem solving techniques that you can use at work (see page 50).
